We saw 4 foxes and 5 bears (although the bears came during darker hours of the session since they prefer dusk to be more active but the guide told us that they can appear at any time since the bears have no schedule haha) it was a very professional and a wonderful experience, the guide came on time and picked us up from the meeting location in a spacious van and was very hospitable to us throughout the event.”

Would recommend the tour. Only criticism would be to have a circular route as opposed to driving the same route there and back. But all in all, good fun!”

“The day we went we drove through thick fog and arrived in a downpour. Alex offered to drive us to the lake and waterfalls rather than hike in the rain. We were dead set on hiking so we hiked. The hike is moderately challenging and through a beautiful forest along the gorge. The color of the lake, even in the rain, was beautiful. We then hiked to the waterfall which was truly beautiful. “What a great experience! This was a beautiful hike with plenty of gorgeous views and copious amounts of wild flowers (on April 1st!). Radu, who grew up hiking these mountains, was a fantastic guide. Not only did he provide lots of information about the area, he also offered hiking poles and gaiters for the sometimes muddy trails. The weather forecast was for rain but we never had any. In fact, near the lodge, we even had some blue skies and the clouds moved enough to see the mountain summits. Fantastic experience. Highly recommended!!”
